JAKE PAWELEK

Jake Pawelek is an artist who uses painting, sculpture, installation, drawing, and writing to fuel his creativity. Influenced by the impatience of living in an over-stimulated culture, his work investigates the character and developmental, constructive states of figures and objects. He is critically engaged in the idea of transcending materials to explore larger ideas of life. “I believe materials can transcend their physical existence and become something entirely new. Flowers and people seem to be in constant repetitive rotation in my head. I believe it’s the things in this world that won’t last forever that breathe the most excitement into life."  Jake Pawelek lives and works in Texas.
