AnArte Gallery is thrilled to present the first of our rotating exhibitions at Estancia Del Norte, highlighting local San Antonio artist, Kathy Sosa. This exhibition includes works from Sosa’s Trees of Life, Arboles Mariposas, and the 52 Faces Series. Sosa’s paintings are a mixture of folk art meets contemporary, with influences from the 18th and 19th century Spanish and Mexican portraiture, iconic religious images, and masks are elaborate with ornamentation. Sosa states that all of her work “is an expression of the blended culture of my home in the Texas-Mexico Borderland.”
