AnArte Gallery is excited to introduce Amy Shekhter’s first exhibition at AnArte Gallery, Rock Your World. Please join us for an opening reception on Wednesday, August 10th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Pink Champagne & Pink Rocktinis reception with music by Jevonchi.

My pop art incorporates iconic images of famous people with nostalgia from the past. It is a meshing of objects and time periods that remind me of joyful pastimes. For this particular show titled “Rock Your World,” I incorporated famous singers and musicians whose melodies bring back different memories to each viewer. Combining these icons and my love for texture and mixed media, each piece is carefully made using layers of paint, hand-cast resin pieces, crystals, various objects, and materials. As the viewer observes each individual work of art, their eyes are not only drawn to the main subject of the painting, but also to the playful background media allowing them to continuously discover new objects and details. -Amy Shekhter
