TAYLOR BOHNÉ
Taylor Bohné is a visual artist based out of San Antonio, TX. Born and raised in San Antonio, TX and partially South Florida. From an early age he was inspired by Florida tropical landscapes and modern Latin and Mexican American art prevalent in the San Antonio Chicano and Modern art scene. He grew up deeply rooted through family and friends in the San Antonio and Southwestern art world. A graduate of Alamo Heights High School and the University of Texas at San Antonio he was active in and out of school, leading a project for a ceramics installation to commemorate a deceased teacher at his high school when he was 17 years old and focusing on art in his free time.
Bohné focuses on mixed media sculptures with a unique flavor that can be described as sometimes whimsical but often sexy or even rugged and raw at times. His paintings focus on unique San Antonio architecture and iconic businesses store fronts in our city, showing deep appreciation and pride in his San Antonio roots.
